Hi admission,
I am currently in my 2nd year of completing all of my prerequisites at brookdale community college in NJ and will be done in spring 2012 (3 years total) and hoping to enroll in fall 2012 cycle. I currently have a 4.0 gpa (chem 1 and 2 bio 1, trig, and other non-prerequisites stuff).(im currently am taking organic chem 1, precalc, psychology, and bio 102) My first choice is rutgers but i heard it is very tough to get in. I am planning on taking the pcat in june or july 2011 and will retake in september or october if not satisfied w/ the scores. I took one practice test without any studying and did horrible on it. (30 composite)I'm really worried because I am not good at standardized tests since there is very little time to answer each question. I am hoping however to do well on the actual pcat and get at least a 70 composite. I have worked as a pharm tech for about 3 months now. Most of the schools I am applying also don't say anything about not accepting CC credits. I know I still have a about 3-4 semesters left with ridiculously hard classes like physics, anatomy, microbio, organic chem II, and others. If I do well on the rest of my prereqs (3.5 or above) but a low pcat score <60 or 50, what are my chances? i will apply to about 6-8 schools. (there is only one school in NJ)
thank you.
There should be more discussions like these among students and practitioners in the pharmaceutical field.
