Hello I have just taken the July 20 PCAT yesterday with the pre-scores listed below.
Verbal (409) 63%
Biology (435) 91%
Reading Comp (386) 24%
Quantitative (428) 83%
Chemistry (443) 93%
Composite (420) 80%
My reading comp was so bad. would I have to retake it or can I get by with a 24% reading comp? This was my second time taking the PCAT since october 16th of last year, with a composite score of 45% at the time. I have already obtain my BA in biology with a GPA of 3.37. I volunteer at my local hospital and at my church community. Is this acceptable enough for me to get into pharmacy or maybe hilo pharm school? thanks.
That's quite an improvement in your composite! Based on what you shared above, I think you have a definite chance. I'd encourage you to post on the forum to gather additional input
Hello I also took the PCAT on July 20th. I was wondering how much my preliminary score would differ with my actual score? I realize that is a difficult question to ask because it depends on how well the general population does on the test.
thanks for the advice :) yeah i'm wondering the same thing too as to how much the preliminary will differ from the official. i hope its the base on the current norm of students who took it july 20th and not on past norm. the reading comp was pretty horrible. i was in student doctor network and most of them seem to do bad on their read comp as well.
Yeah i took it on the 20th too and I also did about 20% lower on the reading than i did on any other section which was not the same as any practice exam I did. So I am also wondering too how accurate these scores are, amd if they will change much?
To be honest, most Adcoms are still learning how the computer based test / scores compare to the old paper test that was used for so many years. Your guess is as good as ours.
I took the PCAT today:
Verbal - 86
Biology - 88
Reading Comp. - 65
Chemistry - 98
Quant. Ability - 98
Composite - 97
I am happy but I was wondering how that 65 will look. Thanks!
It looks fine to me!
What study materials are u guys using to get such high scores?? any text books? coz the kaplan study guide is just not good enough especially with the math...please help
I got a 31 composite score should I retake? Just got a B.S. in Neuroscience with a 3.32 GPA.
